Selecting a vacation villa and destination may seem overwhelming. Every property and destination is different. What might be perfect for someone is not the right property or destination for someone else. We treat every traveler as an individual with different tastes, budgets and expectations.

Our staff can provide valuable insider information about properties and destinations. We can tell you which villas have the best staff including cooks. We know which ones are on beaches with gentle surf or have proximity to snorkeling areas. We know which ones were redecorated recently and other improvements. We know our destinations as well!

So tell us your requirements and we will match them with the most suitable accommodations. Early reservations, especially during busy holiday periods, will provide more choices within your budget and expectations.

What is the story behind your company?

Linda Freedman established our company after returning from a family vacation in a tiny hotel room at a popular Caribbean resort. Her family was accustomed to vacationing in a spacious ocean-side beach condo with separate bedrooms, a living room, full kitchen and large balcony. After the unfortunate hotel experience, Linda set out to help others find comfortable family accommodations. In 1984, she founded Value Villas, the parent company of Four Seasons Villas and Villa Journeys.

We are a modern travel service with a large informative web site, plus the experience and first hand knowledge to make recommendations and provide good service to our clients. Our staff have been visiting our featured destinations and inspecting properties for 22 years. We are not just a rental company, we truly love to travel see our customers have wonderful experiences in new or their favorite destinations.

We are selective about the properties displayed on the website. We must conform to the high ethical standards of the Better Business Bureaus and their on-line Reliability program. We display the BBB gold Reliability Seal for websites.

How can you help me select a vacation rental?

We can help you select a destination and the best available property. Please use our information request form or call us at 1-800-338-0474.

In the additional details form let us know if you have a budget in mind as well as any favorite activities that the destination should have (scuba diving, snorkeling, golf, tennis, nightlife, fine dining, shopping, gambling etc...). This way we can suggest properties and destinations that match your interests. Please also let us know of any requirements for the property (child friendly, pool, beachfront, handicap access etc).

How do I select a vacation rental on your website?

There are many ways to choose your perfect vacation place…

If you know your destination:
-Just use our drop down destination list
-Add in your region (if you have a preference)
-Number of bedrooms needed (most villas limit 2 guests of all ages to a bedroom)
-Indicate if you require waterfront or pool or both and click search.
-If you find that you don’t have enough choices go back and take some of the limits off your search.

If you are unsure of your destination but planning a special occasion like a honeymoon, group gathering, wedding or family vacation:
-Just click your special occasion type in the center of our homepage. These will give you some of our suggestions for your special occasion.

You would like more information on a destination before you decide on a property:
-Click on the destination tab. You will find links to information on our destinations. Once you decide the destination appeals to you click on find villas.

How do I book with you?

-Please use our reservation form or call us at (800) 338-0474. We will need to know your destination, property choice(s) and travel dates. We will also need to know your full name, phone number, mailing address and the number of people in your group. Please also include the ages of any children traveling.
-We will confirm the reservation and email, fax or mail an invoice showing the total amount due, payment terms and cancellation policy.

For your protection, we offer comprehensive travel insurance with trip cancellation and 24 hour emergency assistance.

What kinds of payment do you accept?

We always prefer payment by check. We can accept credit card payments for most properties by American Express, Discover, Visa or MasterCard. Wire transfers are also accepted.

Why do some properties list price ranges instead of exact prices?

Some properties (particularly our country cottages in the Europe) have many price categories based on which week you choose. Sometimes this can be as many as 30 different rate categories. Instead of listing the rate for each week we have listed the most inexpensive to the most expensive week. Rates are highest for popular times for European holidays; July and August are peak times. Winter rates will be closest to the lowest rate. Please email us or call us at 1-800-338-0474 for an exact quote on the week you choose for a particular property.

Do you have more information on the properties listed on your website?

Yes! Some information and pictures are not on the web. Also when you are ready to book, we can answer specific questions about the property.

Before the web, we mailed brochures. Many properties listed on our website have their own brochure. To receive brochures please let us know specifically which properties you like. If you are not sure about what to request, we can help select a few. Just let us know the details listed in question 3.

We also have catalogs of properties for some (not all) destinations.

Do you have reviews of the properties you offer?

We try to visit many of the properties listed on our website. We would love to spend all out time traveling but it is impossible to personally inspect all of our listings on a regular basis. Fortunately, we have excellent reliable resources for quality control. We work only with reliable management companies that regularly inspect their properties and provide excellent care. We also rely on previous guests reports for feedback. We maintain a resource file of evaluations of many properties from previous customers and can share reports upon your request.

What are your discount airfares?

Sometimes, we can offer our customers discounts on American Airlines if you are traveling to the Caribbean and booking accommodations with us.

How far in advance, should I book a villa or apartment vacation?

Contact us as early as possible. Some properties do not take bookings more than a year in advance but some will. The earlier you book the better your chances are of finding your dream vacation rental.
